Smile for a while - main label 2013...19, releasing stuff of young & talented producers, remixed by well-known artists like Move D, Borrowed Identity, Tuff City Kids, Soulphiction, etc.

All That Jelly - mainly a reissue label for clubby, upbeat House Music, inspired by Chicago and NY.

Short Bio English:

Mr. Fonk made his ferst steps behind the wheels of steel 20 years ago in his hometown Nuremberg. He played at a lot of venues like "Der Hirsch", "ZOOM", or "Club nano." In 2001 he teamed up with some locals to form a soundsystem, doing legal & illegal parties in clubs, offlocations and in the open air. In 2005 he moved on to Frankfurt. There he played in almost every club, like U60311, MTW, Lido, Cantina or Tanzhaus West. After years of DJing he teamed up with D.Soul in 2011 to form a party collective called "Smile for a while." After countless parties with guests like Move D, I:Cube and Borrowed Identity the guys decided to form a label releasing vinyl records of their friends' productions. In 2015 Mr. Fonk made the move to Berlin, playing and hosting parties in clubs like Loftus Hall, Renate, about blank, Chalet Farbfernseher and Paloma Bar. 2018/19 he then made his way into the notorious KitKat Club, quickly becoming a resident DJ at "Disco Bizarre" and "Revolver." in 2021 a new residency started at "Christa Kupfer" / Berlin (former "Loftus Hall").

Mr. Fonk is an oldschool DJ, living on his excessive record collection, playing out positive emotions by blurring the lines between House, Disco and Techno. Dance Music as a subculture, as a modern Hippie utopia - that's where his DJ sets are taking us.

Mr. Fonk hat seine ersten DJ-Schritte vor 23 Jahren in Nürnberg gemacht. Neben gigs in Hirsch, Zoom oder dem Club nano war er Teil des "Groundlift Soundsystem", einer freischaffenden Partycrew aus dem Raum Ansbach. 2005 ging er nach Frankfurt wo er in allen wichtigen Clubs gespielt und veranstaltet hat wie z.B. U60311, MTW, Lido, Tanzhaus West. 2011 hat er dort mit D.Soul das Partykollektiv "smile for a while" gegründet, das 2013 auch als Vinyl label, für aufstrebende House Produzenten aus FFM, an den Start ging. 2015 kam schließlich der Wechsel nach Berlin wo er die Loftus Hall, Renate, Chalet, Paloma, Farbfernseher und andere Clubs bespielt hat, bevor Mr.Fonk resident DJ im berüchtigten "kitkat Club" wurde, bei "Disco Bizarre" und "Revolver." 2021 kam eine neue residency hinzu, im "Christa Kupfer" / Berlin (früher: "Loftus Hall"). Seit 2018 ist das main label "All That Jelly" - für reissues von 90s House Klassikern und neuen Produktionen im oldschool-Gewand.

Mr. Fonk ist ein DJ der alten Schule der von seiner exzessiven Plattensammlung lebt, positive Emotionen liebt und die Grenzen zwischen House, Disco und Techno immer wieder verschwimmen lässt. Tanzmusik als Subkultur, als moderne Hippieutopie - seine DJ-sets führen uns auf eine Reise dorthin...
